It’s Christmas in July! Today marks the first day of my official countdown to 2021. This year has been a whirlwind but there has been no more ample time to organize my life and refocus myself on my goals than now.
Now that I’m back home and am able to rebuild I have decided that I’m going to focus on my health. Not just for myself but for my daughter. Along with beginning to pursue a pescatarian lifestyle, I am also am starting a workout regime that focuses on the areas my body needs the most attention.
After giving birth, my back has been in consistent pain. Some days better than others. After doing some research, I decided to start committing to a daily workout to wake up and wine down. Post natal yoga is IT.
There are a ton of good 🧘🏾♀️ routines on YouTube but I live for #BlackGirlMagic so here’s my fave! Yes For Yoga🧘🏾♀️
Whew ! June has been a whirlwind. I’m late on this month’s QueenCast and with good reason ! In a matter of weeks the world has went from pure chaos to straight up pandemonium ! As if it wasn’t hard enough dealing with Coronavirus & Quarantine !
George Floyd’s murder shook the world to its core and brought about the worlds largest civil rights movement to date. With so many acknowledging the supremacy that black people have had to face for over 400 years the questions arises… Is the support genuine ?
I pray so but in the mean time I’ve been dealing with my own growth. Thus, the featured image this month. With so much going on I’ve let my personal goals slip tremendously. I’m back now though & ultimately it started with returning to my ancestors and truly listening to the guidance I was given.

I hope everyone is flourishing and using this quarantine time to refresh their minds, bodies, & spirits ! The word of the month is TRACTION. Usually when traction is used its to describe the action of drawing or pulling a locomotive over a surface. In my circumstances, I will say I chose this word to describe the traction that I am creating for myself and my business especially this month !! With that said…
WELCOME BACK QUEEN TALK !!!
Queendom Entertainment’s Queen Talk 2.0 is now broadcasting via SPOTIFY @ HERE
Its the beginning of a new month which always brings a refreshing peace that is unmatched !
#QueenCast of April
My word of the month is REBIRTH : the action of reappearing or starting to flourish or increase after a decline; revival. If you are a Scorpio you know that a matured scorpio’s spirit creature is a Phoenix. In case you didn’t know, Phoenix are mythological birds that are known to live very long lives, set themselves ablaze to die, and then REBIRTH themselves from the ashes. Needless to say, this year has been very trying for everyone but personally it has been the beginning of a very long transformative journey marked in the stars for us scorpios !
This month, since its our first #QueenCast, I have decided to share some of my favorite MONTHLY routines that help me prepare for each new month and what it is destined to bring !
Every month I head over to girlandhermoon.com to utilize their moon phases and intention chart! I use this to journal in my planner what I can expect to be happening in life during each phase. Check out their IG for more detailed moon info !
After I fill my planner with my monthly mooncast, I detail the full calendar with specific planetary movements and what they may cause ! Forever Conscious is a great resource for not only keeping up with the astrology but numerology, tarot, and spirituality ! Check out their website https://foreverconscious.com/ !
Finally, I go through my Book’d & Busy Planner and fill out my monthly goals, groceries, meal plans, and weekly focuses to stay on track ! This planner is a life-saver ! I recommend for anyone else who is obsessed with organization, check them out at https://thebookdstore.com/ ! LOL
On April 1st 2019, I got the greatest news of my life! God was blessing us with a beautiful baby girl ! I was excited and nervous as I was embarking on a personal journey that I never thought I would get to experience. Little did I know that it would also be the most challenging, faith testing journey that I have been on.
Pregnancy broke me down in ways that I didn’t know I needed to be broken. I started my first job at 15 years old and was on my own at 19. Being a woman that was self-sufficent and independent came natural to me. Unfortunately, the day I confirmed my pregnancy was the day my employer fired me. Within months I lost everything I had worked for years to achieve.
Though devastated, I was blessed to be starting a family with an amazing man who supported me in every way throughout our pregnancy. Now, I am a mother & that will always be my first and most important job! However, I am ready to go back to work. The battle in my head now is the choice of whether to be a full time mom while building my business or to find a full time job and work until I am financially able to pursue building my brand fully.
While I can’t say for sure what is ahead for me I am excited to leave the past behind and invest in a new beginning.
